Remembering Anna Jane....
Thank you for inviting me to be involved in your tribute to your mom.
I am so happy and fortunate that your mother came to stay in one of our rental homes at the end of her life. Laurie, you have always had a very special place in my heart, and when you called to tell me that her situation in her new apartment in Pearland was not working well, I wanted to do all I could to help. I’m not the type of person that thinks things happen by chance. God laid your mother upon my heart. I am glad that I could spend a little time with her toward the end of her life and that I could share with her the gift that I had made for her.
I had only met your mom a few times prior to last fall. I remember her coming to Silverlake Elementary School where we would all be waiting to meet our children at the end of the day. Michael and Alex would come running out of the Parent Walk Up Door, and we would all gather for a bit.
I know what a remarkable woman your mother was. It means so much to us that her memory will live on on Beacon Hill Drive!
